Welcome to my blog, Biochemista.com! Follow me on my journey as I strive for a balanced and healthy life in Washington, DC.
A few things...
I run. A lot.
Enjoy creating meals (and re-creating not-so-healthy favorites) from all-natural ingredients.
Have fallen deeply in love with BodyPump classes (total body lifting), spinning, and hot yoga.
And I kinda have a [strong] liking for coffee and the occassional glass of red vino.
But above all, balance is key.
Follow me on my journey to balance it all. Thanks for visiting!
I aim to show that healthy living is actually easy and will greatly improve your quality of life (and lifespan!).
Professionally, I hold a MS degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Georgetown University. Last year, I left bench research to pursue a clinical career (you can read about my switch here) and am currently working on a transplant unit to prepare for PA (physician assistant) school. In my spare time, I serve as a blind running coach and YMCA volunteer.
I love hearing from you! Email me at Biochemista@gmail.com or follow me on Twitter or Facebook!
Come back & visit again (and again)! Advertising proceeds benefit local DC groups/charities.
Namaste
Disclaimer: I am not a Registered Dietitian. If you have questions regarding your personal health please consult your doctor. I have a MS in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology and possess huge interest in nutrition, well being, and fitness. Additionally, I do not post everything I eat each day (not even half of what I eat), just new meals/snacks that I think others might enjoy.
