So I got off my butt and took a few pics for y'allll. That's right, it's all for you.
The Manfriend (who is feeling a lot better) and I made our way through Georgetown and along the canal...
And landed at our favorite coffee shop, Baked N' Wired.
Take that, Georgetown Cupcake.
Lil caffeine buzz and we were off to the Blossoms!
4 miles of walking and 10,000 pictures later, we were starved! We hit up JuiceZone for juice (clearly) and wraps.
Beet, green apple, carrot, spinach, ginger
Lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, olives, grilled tofu, spinach wrap and side of balsamic vinegar.

Questions:
Are you a couch monkey on days off?
Have you ever been to the DC Cherry Blossom festival?
I just bought a juicer! What's your favorite juice combo?

GORGEOUS photos!! I'm hoping to visit the cherry blossoms this weekend (and plow my way through crowds of tourists! haha)
ReplyDeleteAgreed: Georgetown Cupcake has nothing on Baked and Wired! <3
Those cherry blossoms are so beautiful! Great pictures! I don't have a juicer but I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteThe average peak date is my bday, so I like to take a day during the week to visit the festival, have a picnic lunch, and enjoy the beauty. Not sure it's going to happen this year with the crappy weather.
ReplyDeleteHey there! Great shots of DC! I will actually be coming to the area for a conference April 8-11th. I was wondering if you had any recommendations of places to eat/things to see? I have been to DC once before and did all of the government/museum stuff but I figured I'd ask a local what else to see. Let me know if you have time! Thanks :) --Maria
ReplyDeleteYou are brave for heading down there with all the tourists! I hardly ever go down because I hate the crowds. But those pictures are absolutely gorgeous and look well worth it.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually a couch potato on my days off because on regular weekend days I'm so busy!
lovely pictures! your weeks ahead of us here on the west coast (vancouver island). nice to get a sneek peak!!!
ReplyDeleteyes... i can be a couch monekye (guilty as charged)
Today and tomorrow are my days off this week! So I'm using them to workout, do some laundry, relax, and cook. So pretty much half active, half couch-monkey.
ReplyDeletenew reader!! Yesss I am SUCH a couch monkey!! I have arguements with myself, do I want to go out and do stuff ? Or do I want to take my Nook and caress it for 5 hours and be lazy?... when I do one or the other, I get upset I didn't do the other one!! I'm a mess ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!! I haven't made it down there yet and with the bad weather coming, not sure I will this year. Looks like a nice day!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so beautiful! And that wrap looks delish. Yes, I confess, I am a total couch monkey on my days off.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I want a day off to enjoy the cherry blossoms! Baked and Wired is soooo delish! You should have gotten a cupcake! Or a sandwich cookie...I recommend the Texas Chocolate one. :)
ReplyDeleteThe cherry blossoms are gorgeous! What kind of juicer did you get? I have been thinking about one for a while now. You should do a juicing post!
ReplyDeleteI try really hard not to be a couch monkey on days off, especially once spring rolls around!
ReplyDeleteI love the cherry blossoms, I try to come down to DC from Boston every spring :)
I don't have a juicer but am dying for one!
@bridgerita I got one by Breville because I read about how super easy it is to clean :)
ReplyDelete@Mollie I've had they're cupcakes - and I agree they're amazing!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. I'm from DC, so great to find other bloggers in the area!
