Randomnessss

HI DARLINGS!!!!

How are you? Hope your week is off to a great start! I decided to make this post completely random and post pictures of food, activities, etc. from the past few days...

Made roasted onion and eggplant (boiled then broiled) and topped with curry, sea salt, pepper:

And topped with my current obsession:

^Seriously get a hold of this stuff. You'll thank me later.

Snacked
on this combo quite a bit:

^Kashi Go lean, Trader Joe's High Fiber Cereal, raisins, sea-salted peanuts, Better N' Peanut Butter

Did a little fitness reading by the pool. What do you think of Oxygen magazine??

^I think it has great advice/workout routines/etc. but think the overwhelming amounts of diet pill ads are pretty lame.

Snapped this pic because I think it delivers a GREAT MESSAGE:

^PREVENTION is KEY!

Received a Thank You card and picture
for attending the wedding in Tremblant, Quebec:

^Seriously could they have bleached out our faces anymore??? Hello, Casper.

Did a quick grocery trip and came across this MASSIVE can of beans..

^Maybe not as funny as I found it?? HAHA

Came across some old home videos circa 1990:

^I'm at the bottom with the long hair (other two are my sister and brother)

Had the same breakfast (Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Smoothie) for the last 4-5 days and STILL looking forward to it tomorrow:

^Chocolate whey, frozen strawberries, ice, ice H20, pinch xanthan gum, stevia, dash sea salt.

Ventured to the Georgetown Waterfront to enjoy a cocktail with friends and the beautiful riverside scenery:

Swedish Embassy:

OK KIDS, I'm off to a BodyPump class then meeting Kels (sister) for lunch at Chop't and a little Tarjayyy shopping then volunteering with ma kiddos!!!

Have a great week!!!

QUES: Whats the most RANDOM thing you did/saw/ate/watched this weekend???

  2. can you believe I've never tried eggplant? I'm such a blogger virgin in so many ways!

I have quit reading Oxygen mag. There are some great articles and workouts in there, I just felt like it's the same thing over and over and it just got old.

    Have a good Monday! :)

And what did I do that was random this weekend? Nothing too random really... The World Cup Round of 16 games were out of this world though! :)

  6. I feel the same way about Oxygen - love the actual content but I can't stand the ads for diet pills. The most random thing I ate this weekend was meatballs (made of ground chicken) on a salad... I guess it's not super random but it's usually not my protein of choice for salads - they just needed to be used up!
    Have fun at tarjayy!

  7. I went to Tarjay yesterday for some shopping fun. It did not disappoint. I hope your trip was great as well. :D

And Oxygen Magazine?? I used to read it religiously, then it got old. I think it has more useful information than things like Shape or Fitness, but I hate how much it glorifies Tosca Reno over and over and over again. AND I feel if you read 4-5 of their issues you will have read everything they will ever talk about. It is extremely repetitive and kind of promotes an all or nothing mentality in my opinion. I am clearly not a huge fan of it anymore. LOL Then again, I am not a fan of any fitness mags.

  10. @Lisa (I'm an Okie) Ya, its very repetitive sometimes. And girl, get on that eggplant! :)

  11. @Tina Ya I totally agree! I like Tosca Reno a lot but it's a ton about her and her eat clean diet. Once you know how to eat clean the info is pretty repetitive.

I'm more of a trash mag kinda gal ;)

  12. I've never bought Oxygen, but I think that fitness mags in general send mixed messages about health and beauty. It's like, okay, you're gorgeous girl!! But, here's five snacks under 100 calories so you can be skinnier. Stupid.

I love watching old home movies. The older you get, the less embarassing and funnier they are!!

Hope you're having a great week!
