Merci, Quebec!

Hey heyyy!!

I'm finally back from our weekend in Mont Tremblant (Quebec), Canada! Despite travelling home for more than 14(!) hours, the weekend was a blast! And thank you for all of your sweet comments about my outfit!

^Arriving in Quebec!

Tremblant Airport:

^Customs, no lie.

The weekend started with exploring the beautiful village and enjoying lunch and drinks in the sun....it was mid-50's all weekend!

Love this pic. Sunshine and margaritas (clear tequila, splash triple sec, juice from 4-5 lime wedges). What else could you want on vacation??

Lunch was a glorious tuna nicose salad (best olives I've ever had):

^Romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, tuna (w/ fresh dill, so good!), hard boiled egg, EVOO, and balsamic.

Followed with lots of exploring, window shopping, and relaxation:

We stayed right in the village (above) so when you exit the hotel you literally step onto the base of the mountain to board the ski lifts:

The next day we went dog sledding! It was amazing! Our dogs (4 of 8 pictured):

The leader of the pack:

Seth and I took turns driving/steering. I alllllmost killed us when I lost control of the dogs as we were flying downhill. Whoops, sorry Seth! (Vid to be posted soon)

After returning safely, the owner let us play with some of the puppies:

I want one!

The rest of the night we spent eating delicious food & drinks and sampling some treats from the best chocolate shop in the worldddddd:

^(anything) covered apples

^Chocolate pizza

^Choc covered fruit (strawberries, bananas etc.)

No words necessary.

The following day was the wedding (Seth's cousin Cara). Honestly, Cara has the best taste. One if the classiest and most beautiful wedding's I've ever been to.

View from reception:

Gorgeous chandeliers and centerpieces:

Bottom of centerpiece:

Our table:

Dinner (veg option for me):

^Grilled veggies (eggplant, mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini, and tofu with balsamic glaze
Beautiful bride:

Great wedding. Congratulations, Cara and Jay!

The last day I felt really sick (think some dairy sneaked into my food somewhere along the way), so I opted out of skiing and met the group later in the evening for dinner and some gambling!

^ Cool fireplace in casino entrance

Okay enough bragging about my awesome weekend :-) How was your weekend??? Try and new foods or do anything new/exciting??

xx

Lauren

QUESTION: What percentage of the time do you eat healthy?? I'd say I eat 80-20. 80% of the time I eat a healthy balanced and clean diet. The other 20% (the weekends) I am much more flexible!

  2. Looks like you an awesome weekend in Mont Tremblant! We have a chocolate shop just like that one (on the Ontario border of Quebec) and I honestly drool over all of the goodies! Which one was your favourite?

I'd say I'm an 80-20 girl too...I'd like to be 100% healthy, but I also like the ability to be flexible and enjoy celebrations with friends and family, without stressing over every little morsel.

Hope your week's off to a great start! xoxo

  5. Wow..your trip looked amazing! Welcome back! Where's the pictures of you in the dress? The wedding reception looked gorgeous, as did every single picture you posted! :) I would say that I'm 90-10 clean. The 10% is usually some sort of cookie or candy or sugar (chocolate!!)that I shouldn't have ;)

  7. What a fun weekend! I'm so jealous you get to travel! It's so nice to get away somewhere completely different and relax. It puts things in perspective. Sometimes we get so bogged down in our immediate circumstances... school/work/whatever... that it helps to see something different and remind ourselves a whole world is out there... just waiting to be enjoyed. I'm glad you got the chance to do that! Can't wait to see the dog-sledding video!
