Today I have a very special post for ya: A fool-proof recipe for All natural Skinny Margaritas! We adapted this recipe from Bethenny Frankel's Skinny Girl Margaritas. I figured this was quite necessary to post this since roughly 50% of my blog/life is dedicated to margaritas, LOL. If you try these out, please let me know how you like them!
INGREDIENTS:
Clear Tequila:
^Choose a brand that says 100% Agave
Triple Sec (or Cointreau):

Ice and frozen strawberries (and/or mangoes):

Fresh Lime Juice:
STEPS:
1. Fill blender 1/2 way with ice and strawberries (3/4 ice, 1/4 strawberries)
1. Fill blender 1/2 way with ice and strawberries (3/4 ice, 1/4 strawberries)
2. Pour tequila almost to level of ice/berries (maybe leave an inch)
5. Add one serving stevia and/or agave. Don't add too much at this step because it's hard to correct later if it's over-sweetened.
6. Blend and enjoy!

This post got me SO excited for the weekend, ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, hope youre having a good day

ReplyDeleteYum.. love me some margaritas!!!!
ReplyDelete@Jess LOL, I usually am too!! But these are perrrdy good and not too sweet cause there's no added sugar-y crap! To make them on the rocks, just do tequila with a splash of triple sec, splash of lime, and a teeeny bit of stevia. I also sometimes add a tiny splash of OJ :-)
ReplyDeletethanks :) hahah hoepfully i can make these soon lol
ReplyDeleteAnother reason to love Trader Joe's!

holy sh*t girl, you're not playing aroud with your drinks! I love it! Back in the day I used to be a major tequilla drinker. Just a drinker, actually :)
ReplyDeleteThe stevia in there...i am fine with stevia in food but i have never tried it in booze. Do you taste any funk? ya know what i mean :)
That looks so good and refreshing!

@Jean @ BellaBeFabulous You are very welcome ;-)
ReplyDelete@lindsey No prob! Just wanted to make sure it arrived safe! Enjoy :-)
ReplyDelete@Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) LOL, I totally know what you mean. I just add a *teeeeeeeny* bit. Just enough to kind of quench the acidic taste of the lime juice. Does that make sense? LOL Or you can just use agave and skip the potential funk all together LOL
