Get-better-faster Smoothiesss

Heyoo,

Happy Saturday! Saturday is definitely my favorite day of the week. Sunday is nice because we usually have a roomie dinner, but much of the night always goes to preparing for the next week (making breakfasts, lunches, packing gym clothes, experiment planning, mapping out the week's TV schedule, haha). On Saturdayyy, I can sleep in guilt-free, watch as much TV as possible, go for a long run and lounge before getting ready for whatever the night holds...ahhh.

Well the reason I haven't blogged in the last few days is because the last 4 days have been pretty miserable. I caught a terrible cold/the flu and have been pretty much glued to the couch. Entertainment wise, the first two days were pretty nice....I watched more TV than is mentally healthy. However, after watching about 20 or so episodes of the newly released season 8 of 90210 (you bet it was pre-ordered about 2 months ago) I was going pretty stir-crazy!

But as of today, I am thanking my lucky stars that I'm starting to feel better.

I've been trying to pump myself with as many vitamins as possible. Here is my getter-better-faster go-to smoothie that I've been consuming a lot lately:

1 banana
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop SuperFoods Supreme
(GNC brand; Equal to 13 servings of Fruits and Veggies)

*Note: Sorry for the scribbled letter "L". We mark out food in the apt since we buy many similar items.

1/2 scoop Perfect Food (Garden of Life brand; Made of vegetable, sprout, organic grass, and probiotics; equal to 140 grams of equivalent mass of nutrients...and doesn't taste bad!)

1/2 tsp Maca Powder (TerrAmazon brand; rich in Vitamin C, fiber, and promotes energy)

1 tsp Acai Powder (TerrAmazon brand; A superfruit rich in antioxidants and omegas 3,6,9)

1/2 Tbsp Flax Seed Oil (rich in omega fatty acids and promotes absorption of fat soluble vitamins)
~1 cup water (or OJ) to desired consistency

It is pretty freakin' good!

Today I'm actually feeling human again and am going to attempt a 4pm spinning class. After that it's a quick trip to Whole Foods then home to get ready for a Holiday party tonight! Pics to come :)

Have a great rest of your weekend!

L
